DESCRIPTION
The FILEHOOK longline tub allows for the semiautomatic setting of longlines without any hook handling. The line is set at a speed of 6 to 9 knots, or approximately one hook per second.
When hauling the longline in using our hydraulic longline hauler GENIHALEUR or TY’HALEUR, the main line is automatically coiled in the FILEHOOK box. Each snood is positioned in a dedicated notch on the rack.
Designed for pelagic or demersal longlining, the longline storage tub is compatible with all types of hooks (spike, circle, etc.). Longlines are stored baited and ready for use with live bait such as white crab or sand eel. A protective ring on top prevents the bait from being crushed when several longline tubs are stacked. Up to 15 longline storage tubs can be stacked. Two models are available: 80 or 100 slots.
